  • At Acro Fusion, we use the internationally recognised Acrobatic Arts syllabus to guide our acro dance program. This structured and safe approach allows students to build strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination through carefully planned progressions.
  • Our instructors are trained and certified through Acrobatic Arts, ensuring they understand proper technique and safe spotting methods. This means your child is learning acro in a supportive environment that prioritises safety and long-term development.
  • The program begins at the basics and advances step-by-step, so dancers can progress confidently and correctly through each level. We also participate in Acrobatic Arts exams, giving students the opportunity to receive feedback from professional examiners and helping us continue to grow and improve our program every year.
  • AcroDance, or acro as it is commonly referred to by dancers and dance professionals, is the beautiful fusion of classic dance technique and the precision and athleticism of acrobatic elements. Often defined by unique choreography, acro dancers seamlessly blend musicality, emotional expression, line and extension with acrobatic movements in a dance context.
  • Acro’s roots are in traditional Chinese dance, later appearing as a favoured style on the Vaudeville stage. More recently, acro gained popularity with the wide spread success of the contemporary circus productions of Cirque du Soleil. Main stream media including dance television programs like ‘So You Think You Can Dance’, ‘America’s Best Dance Crew’ and ‘Dance Moms’ have further fuelled it’s demand in amateur competitive dance and studio settings.
  • Acro technique includes balancing, limbering, tumbling and partnering, based in flexibility, contortion and strength.
  • When selecting an acrobatics studio, it’s crucial to choose one with qualified and registered teachers. Experienced instructors ensure that your child receives top-notch training in a safe and structured environment. Qualified teachers not only bring a wealth of technical expertise but also adhere to industry standards and best practices, which are essential for effective skill development and injury prevention. By choosing a studio with certified professionals, you provide your child with the assurance that they are learning from the best, allowing them to grow, excel, and enjoy their acrobatic journey with confidence.

  • Aerial Arts at Acro Fusion offers students a dynamic and exciting way to build strength, flexibility, coordination, and confidence while working safely off the ground. Our program follows the internationally recognised Aerial Arts syllabus, developed to provide balanced training in technical skill, physical conditioning, spatial awareness, and safety.
  • Students progress through a structured and sequential syllabus beginning at Primary level and continuing through to Level 6, with pathways into Pre-Professional levels for those wishing to further their training. Each level is designed to support safe skill development and ensure students build strong foundations before advancing.
  • Aerial Arts works beautifully alongside Acrobatic Arts Levels and Acro Dance, supporting overall body awareness, control, and performance quality. At Acro Fusion, our aerial classes complement our acrobatics program, helping students become well-rounded, confident performers in a supportive and encouraging environment.
  • Whether your child is new to aerials or looking to extend their acrobatic training, Aerial Arts at Acro Fusion provides a fun, challenging, and rewarding experience.
